Simple game, in theory,  to cover Germany with the cards from 5 other countries, but difficult to do

All 5 cards in very good condition, original rules, inside a simple case, which has a split on the cover

Once a card has been placed it cannot be moved.

c1930- Tut-Tut - Woolley

A card game with the purpose of collectiong the most complete sets of four. Cards are 12 cities

Cards have city names on them – all the pictures are the same – two people in an open car. 

There is another version, which has spinner with it (boxed contains spinner and rules refer to the spinner) – so this is a simpler earlier or later version.

Condition / Cards have been used, slightly grubby, undamaged / Rules – original – scuffed at edges / two part bo – missing outer top – good.

1900 - Panto People -

A collecting game based around pantomimes – collection is either a set from a pantomime – Panto card, Hero and Villian (although Dick Whittington does not have the V marked on the two villian cards!!!). The cards are small approx. 2.5 by 3.5 inches

One of the earliest games with images that would have been the most advanced seen in a game at that time. The aim was to collect a set of cards that would have represented a broadcasting station

1900 - Union Jack - Faulkner

A rare game made by C W Faulkner & Co.
Described, in the rules, as “the most interesting game ever published, introducing the national emblems :-
The Rose, The Shamrock, The Thistle and
The Standard and Ensigns of the United Kingdom”
Quite difficult to follow as you need to be aware of the Orders and Symbols for each Country. 

On the box lid the initials V.R.I.E.R.I. stand for Victoria Regina Imperatrix Edward Rex Imperator. This was the period towards the end of Queen Victoria’s reign when Prince Edward was appointed by her to represent his mother in an official capacity

Condition – Union Jack / Cards complete light use / Rules photocopy / Box – Hand made with a copy of the front of the box

1905 - Golly Misfits - Faulkner

One of a number of different misfit games made by Faulkner – this one called Golly.
This was made with both 18 and 24 characters. This has 24 characters and seems to be much rarer.

eg “Scissors to Grind” but the cry is repeated to match the number on the card.

A party game that involves the participants wearing a tag with an animal’s name around their neck and making the appropriate animal sound when asked to.

1930 Radio Banker- Marconi - Waddington

 Radio Banker – The pack is divided into two sets of cards, one used by the Banker (16 cards with photograph of Marconi House London) representing a number of broadcasting stations, the other by the players (37 cards depicting various types of Marconiphones and names of UK cities) representing wireless receivers of varying power located at different distances from broadcasting stations.

 

The object of the game is for players to stake upon their chance of receiving the Broadcast Station turned up by the Banker .
